WHO WE ARE
From 1896 to present, the Patterson Library has faithfully provided the community of Westfield and its surrounding areas with outstanding collections, programming for all ages, various types of exhibitions, state-of-the-art technology, library staff and a magnificent facility.
The Patterson Society was created in 1990 to support the Patterson Library in its quest to meet the informational needs of its community of users. The Patterson Society is a group whose mission is to promote the interests and welfare of the Patterson Library as a cultural and educational asset. To accomplish this mission, the Patterson Society donates and raises funds for purchasing library materials and sponsoring programming.
WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
You're invited to join us!
In addition to fund-raising events, the Patterson Society also helps to connect volunteers who love the Library with volunteer opportunities. Volunteers who actively help on a weekly basis are automatically members of the Patterson Society and membership dues are waived for those individuals. Opportunities are available for volunteer work with the archives, shelving, children’s programs, gardening, grounds and building maintenance and other special projects. |
